Programs:
a) School completion at 10th and 12th grade level (NIOS):
Brindavan supports students in the age group of 14 to 18 for school completion at Class 10 (Secondary) and Class 12 (Senior Secondary) level through the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) curriculum.
NIOS is a nationally recognised board of study that provides flexibility in terms of choice of subjects and the duration for completing the certification at
Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary levels (Class 12). The board requires completion of 5 subjects in 5 years for certification. At Brindavan, we aim to complete these certifications with a minimum of 2 years for each level.

b) Pre-Employability Training (Pre-Vocational training)
This program is tailored for those students, in the age group of 16+, for whom further academic progress is not an option. These students may or may not have completed schooling at 10th and 12th grade levels.
The program’s objective is to provide training in soft-skills and domain-skills, to enable and empower the young adults to enroll in professional courses or alternately seek, secure, and sustain employment, in 2-3 years’ time. The course is designed for a minimum of 2 years at the end of which we hope to secure a short internship in digital or non-digital space based on the capability of the young adult.

i. In the technology and digital domain
This program is designed to train and prepare young adults, in the age group of 18+, to seek, secure and sustain employment in the digital space in corporates. At the end of this 4-month module-based training, an internship is expected to be secured by the trainee in the digital field.
This opportunity is provided by the corporates who hire candidates under the DNI (Diversity and Inclusion) quota.
Brindavan will provide the training in soft-skills and MS office software, help in developing self-advocacy kits, conduct mock interviews, provide space and time for self-expression and for seeking help when needed.
Brindavan also provides some hand-holding for the candidates during the internship period. At present our candidates have secured internship in companies like HSBC, Wells-Fargo and Puma.
ii. In the non-digital domain
This program is designed to train and prepare young adults, in the age group of 18+, to seek, secure and sustain employment in the non-digital space such as retail, product making and NGOs that support persons with disabilities. Brindavan will provide the training in soft-skills and skills-based training
(like product making, holding bake sales), space and time for self-expression and for seeking help when needed. Brindavan also provides some hand-holding for the candidates during the internship period. At
present these candidates have secured internship in NGOs like Antharbhava.
d) After school program for First Generation Learner
Program for First-Generation Learners (FGL)
Access to quality education remains a significant challenge for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Their potential to acquire knowledge and develop academic skills often goes untapped due to the lack of cognitive and linguistic stimuli in their early environments. It is crucial to support and nurture these children.
Program Vision:
We are dedicated to assisting those who face academic challenges due to situational deprivation. These programs are specifically tailored to enhance children’s language, reading, spelling, writing, and math skills while also providing support for cognitive, socio-emotional, and value-based development—ultimately promoting a holistic approach to child development. These programs seek to bridge learning gaps by integrating essential academic skills with grade-level lessons while instilling study skills and habits in students. By integrating these core skill areas, we aim to equip our young children with the tools necessary for effective study practices and foster a confident, independent approach to their education.
Our program addresses immediate academic needs and also lays a strong foundation for self-sufficiency and resilience. We believe that by nurturing these competencies early on, our learners will be better prepared to navigate the challenges of high school and beyond, ultimately setting the stage for their future success in college and professional pursuits. This holistic approach underscores our commitment to empowering First-Generation Learners and supporting their academic journeys in a meaningful and lasting way.
