No program works well if not for the people that give it that loving touch…. Our volunteers and resource people who literally do it because of the joy of giving and sharing…the fun people:)
Anasuya Mishra (Mona) has a Bachelors degree in Microbiology, an MBA, a certificate in the Montessori method (Primary level) and a B.Ed. She has learnt graphic designing from Arena. She has taught at Headstart Educational Academy (4 years) in multi-age primary classrooms and at Ekya (JP Nagar) for two years. She is passionate about children and injecting fun activities for experiential learning. Anasuya also loves to cook and bakes on a semi-professional level. This love for cooking and children is what brought her to Brindavan. She helps children learn about the different aspects involved in cooking starting from nouns, verbs to cooking hands on. Along with cooking the children are also getting to know the science, history, chemistry and geography about the vegetables and recipe. The children are learning the requirements of a recipe, how to write/read it. Overall, these classes are meant to have happiness and satisfaction as takeaways and that is what we are getting. The children wait impatiently for the next class!
These children make me who I am … their Madhu ma’am.
My passion for rhythm is inborn and my first stage performance was when I was 7 / 8 years old. Haven’t
stopped dancing ever since. I experience immense joy when I see children bring to life on stage what I
have only visualised. Every performance remains as fresh memories of fun through the entire
experience that helps create the choreography.
I hope to bring joy in this expression of body which is connected through the mind and into the soul at
every opportunity thrown at me. Thank you for the opportunity!

Art builds self-confidence in a way that children need. I am learning to work with the kids every day by
helping them to work from part-to-whole. I work on developing understanding different kinds of space
and medium for creative expressions.
Art helps to develop their listening skills and instructions taking ability, and in building fine motor and
problem-solving skills. Art helps the children to express their emotions. It helps build self-esteem,
develops trust in one-self, brings joy and provides motivation for kids.
