Overview

The centre works from 9:30 A.M to 3:00 P.M

We believe that every child is a learner. When children are in an environment that is conducive to their needs, learning happens, at the speed and pace comfortable to the child. 

This centre has children in the age group of 7 to 15 years. 

 1. We have a half-day program for children between the ages of 7 – 11, who need a higher level of support. The program focuses on 

  • Skill development – multi sensorial approach using art, play, music, story-telling etc., to develop academic readiness skills. 
  • Language, Communication and Social skills – verbal and non-verbal 
  • Executive Functions – self- regulation, organise, manage time, all daily activities
  • Motor skills – fine motor and grass motor skills
  • Literacy – structured reading approach to develop literacy, functional reading and writing
  • Numeracy—Number and number sense, functional maths
  • Empowering parents of the children– to execute the lessons and skills taught in the classroom for reinforcement at home

2. We have a day program for children between the ages of 9 to 15. The program focuses on 

Development of Skills: In the areas of oral language (expressive and receptive), reading and reading comprehension, writing which includes handwriting, spelling and written expression, Mathematics and Concept (EVS / Science). The teaching is imparted through methods and techniques that suit the learning style of the children.

Implementing the Pre-NIOS module: This is a preparatory course to develop academic and study skills; and build the ability to learn content that is deeper and intense, leading to the NIOS curriculum.

Development of Socio-Emotional Learning: The development of social emotional competencies in addition to academic performance is crucial and is given the necessary focus in the school environment.

Formulation of Individualized Educational Plans (IEP): An IEP is drawn for  every child that details the goals set for them and is followed by regular monitoring of his/her progress.

Customized Text Materials and Worksheets: These are developed by the teachers to reinforce what has been taught in the class and as a means of assessment. These materials are made keeping the functioning level of the children.

Regular Parent-Teacher Interaction: To discuss the child’s progress and plan as appropriate, parent-teacher interactions are conducted in a periodical manner.

Extracurricular Activities: Non-academic activities such as music, story-telling, art and craft, theatre and organized indoor and outdoor games are a part of the timetable.  

Counselling Sessions: Keeping the emotional and mental well-being of the children, counselling sessions take place.
