After School Remedial Program

The After School Remedial program was started in the year 2005. The program is aimed at children from mainstream schools with Learning Disability (LD), Attention deficit Hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related issues. The main crust of the program is develop proficiency in the basic skill areas of reading, writing, spelling, math, comprehension, oral language and socio emotional skills.

Early intervention program

The early intervention program is for children between the ages of 3-6 years.
This program works on the development of pre-reading and pre-writing skills, along with oral language development and socialization skills. Lots of hands on activities are used to develop the skills.

Basic Skills Program

The program helps children in the age group of 6 to 15 years, works on developing basic skills, where needed curriculum-based remediation is provided once basic skills are in place.

Program details

• The program consists of 1 hour sessions, four days a week. The year runs from June to March. Sessions begin from 3.30 – 4.30 pm and 4.30 – 5.30 Monday to Thursday.
• Each special educator handles between 2 to 4 students in a session. Enrollment in this program is for a minimum period of one year. Periodic parent-teacher school interactions, parent and teacher awareness workshops, and a bi-annual newsletter are also some of the features of this program.
• Informal educational evaluation and counseling for children and parents.
• Individualized education plan (IEP) is provided for each child and is tailored to his/her needs, based on the evaluation/assessment reports.
